Vista Brewing in Driftwood needed three new decks designed and built for a public-facing brewery — each at a different elevation, each with different sight lines to the brewing floor, each engineered for different occupancy loads. Commercial work runs on a tighter scope: ADA reach ranges, occupancy load calc, fire-marshal sign-off, engineer-stamped framing.
We designed three decks that step down from the brewery building toward the property's outdoor performance area — a top-tier dining deck, a mid-level taproom extension, and a lower-tier event deck with a built-in service rail. All three are framed in pressure-treated SYP, surfaced in composite decking rated for commercial foot traffic, with hidden fasteners on every visible plane.
Kent (Vista's GM) left a verbatim review: "The HCOL team was thoughtful, courteous and professional throughout the entire process. HCOL helped us design three large and complex decks for our property. Their construction crew was responsive, FAST and maintained a clean and orderly project area throughout the entire project. The end product is outstanding and the service has been top notch from initial discussion through proactive follow up after the project has been successfully completed. I would highly recommend HCOL."
